Ingredients
- The Pressure Cooker
- 1/2 cup Moong Dal
- 1 Tomato Chopped
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 6-7 Garlic Pods
- Water as need
- 1-2 Green chilli sliced
- Moong Dal sambar
- 3 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder
- 1 medium Onion Chopped
- 2 tsp Sambar Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Curry Leaves
- 2 Tomatoes
- Salt as Need
- Water as Needed

Step-by-Step Moong Dal Sambar
Step-1: Pressure Cooker
Let”s go by rinsing the moong dal under cold water rinsing dal remove any dirt and texture when cooked moong dal. Add moong dal Pressure Cooker.
Step-2: All ingredient Pressure Cooker
Add 1 onion, 1 tomato, green chili, 1 tsp butter, oil, turmeric powder, 6-7 Garlic pods, and salt.
Step-3: Add Water
Add 3 cups water in the Pressure Cooker. Close lide pressure and cook 2 to 4 whistles until soft and smooth Dal.
Step-4: Cooked moong Dal
Once cooked moong dal set a side.
How to Make Moong Dal sambar
Let’s Go Step-by-Step
Step-1: oil
In a pot Add the oil of 1/2 teaspoon.
Step-2: seeds
Add the cumin seeds in a pot.
Step-3: Onion
In a pot Add the chopped onion. Frying on low heat and slightly golden brown.
Step-4: Chili
Add the green chilis and medium heat.
Step 5: Curry leaves
After Add curry leaves.
Step-6: Turmeric
Now to add Turmeric powder in a pot. Cook
on medium heat for a1 min.
Step-7: Tomato
Now add the chopped tomato and cook on medium heat for 2 minutes
Step-8: Taste to Salt
After 2 min Add the salt as per to taste and cook fo medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
Step-9: Sambar and Red chili
Add sambar powder and red chili powder
Step-10: Cooked moong Dal
After Add cooked moong dal mixture have some texture to it.
Step-11: Water
Now add 2 water cups and moong dal sambar and combine them. making sambar very tasty and balanced.
Step-12: Coriander leaves
Now add coriander leaves and the sambar to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes.
Step-13: Finally ready moong dal sambar
Finally, ready moong dal sambar and sambar are served with rice, idli, or dosa, it can be served with rasam or pappadam.
